The team at Bluecube will be tackling one of the UK’s most difficult mountains, Helvellyn, in April 2015. To raise money for St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice, members of the Bluecube team will be making the 908m ascent via the “dreaded” Striding Edge route! The chosen route is renowned for its narrow paths and precarious knife-edge drops on either side and will take a full day to achieve if the weather permits. Bluecube Director Paul Reames explained why the team chose Saturday 4th April 2015 to climb Helvellyn. “We decided that if we waited until Easter there would be a better chance of good conditions and us being able to complete the challenge. At the end of the day we are keen to raise some money for a very important charity and so it is very important that we are able to get to the summit on the day. St Barnabas Hospice was a huge help to my mother and the family when my father was terminally ill with cancer and so it is a charity very close to my own heart. Some of the guys in the office were keen to get involved and support the charity too and so it became a team event. We would be extremely grateful for any sponsorship and support we receive; any donations can be made my going to https://www.justgiving.com/BluecubeTelecom and following the prompts. It’s quick and easy to donate and huge thanks in advance to those who do so.”
